Associated Press - November 10, 2009 7:14 PM ET

CHICAGO (AP) - A federal judge has ordered officials to provide for a family visit for 1 of 2 men charged with taking part in plans for a terrorist attack on a Danish newspaper.

Magistrate Judge Nan Nolan ordered the Metropolitan Correctional Center on Tuesday to provide for Tahawwura Hussain Rana to have a visit with his wife, two daughters and son Friday morning.

Nolan also ordered officials to let Rana phone his wife within 24 hours.

The correctional center is a federal jail where those awaiting trial are held. Nolan acted after getting complaints from defense attorney Patrick Blegen.

The newspaper angered Muslims by publishing cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad.
