The Associated Press asked candidates for Illinois governor whether they will make their income tax returns public and whether they will post them online. Here are summaries of their answers:
DEMOCRATS
Dan Hynes: will continue practice of releasing them "upon request."
Pat Quinn: will continue practice of releasing them. No mention of posting them.
REPUBLICANS
Adam Andrzejewski: already posted online.
Bill Brady: releasing them would create problems for his business and business partners.
Kirk Dillard: will release 2009 returns online.
Andy McKenna: will release them if other candidates do.
Dan Proft: will post them online.
Jim Ryan: yes.
Bob Schillerstrom: posting returns would not help the public.
