FORT MADISON, Ia. (WGEM) -- More than one million dollars in state funding is heading to Fort Madison to help renovate the historic Santa Fe Train Depot.
The money is part of the state's I-Jobs initiative which is designed to create jobs and improve infrastructure.
The money will be used to renovate the historic depot, and raise it above the flood plain.
Once that's complete the existing aAmtrakterminal will be moved from it's current location to the historic Santa Fe Depot.
