Associated Press - December 17, 2009 10:54 AM ET

MASON CITY, Iowa (AP) - Authorities say a 66-year-old woman was injured when her portable oxygen tank on her wheelchair exploded at a Wal-Mart store in Mason City.

Fire Department Capt. Jack Odegaard says the woman was injured Wednesday morning and taken to a hospital. No information on her condition was available.

Odegaard says the woman's companion suffered minor injuries in the incident, but was not taken to the hospital. He says no one else was injured, and there was no damage in the store.

Odegaard says the investigation is ongoing and no other details will be released until it's completed.
