
QUINCY, Ill. (WGME) -- Boy Scout Troop #25 will be conducting its annual Christmas tree pick-up program on January 2nd, 2010. Troop #25 is a Boy Scout troop that serves individuals that are physically and mentally challenged.
Funds raised from this event will be used to support troop operations.
The tree pick-up will begin at 8:00 in the morning on the 2nd.
Individuals interested in having their tree removed may call 223-5161 to be placed on the pick-up list.
Trees must be outside of the house, in view of the street.
There is a suggested donation of $7.00 to help Troop #25 with their fundraising efforts.

And in Missouri.. The Army Corp of Engineers is once again recycling Christmas trees.
You can drop off your tree at the John Spalding Boat Ramp through this Thursday, January 31.
The trees will be sunk in the Mark Twain Lake to create an underwater fish habitat.
Artificial trees and trees with artificial snow are not allowed.
