A Quincy man is behind bars for allegedly operating a mobile meth lab and trying to run from police.
Jeffery Childress was arrested Saturday, July 12th.
According to the Adams County Sheriff's Department, a deputy attempted to stop Childress' vehicle, but he refused to pull over.
The deputy followed Childress, until he eventually pulled over the 10 hundred block of 8th street.
Police found an active meth lab and methamphetamine inside the vehicle.
Childress is charged with manufacturing and possession of methamphetamine, and aggravated fleeing to elude a police officer.
He's being held in the Adams County Jail.
