Fitzpatrick Bros. Plant Will Bring 70 New Jobs

QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -- At a time when new jobs come at a premium, tri-state residents have a prime opportunity to find new employment.

Snelling Staffing Services will be holding a recruting job fair for the upcoming Fitzpatrick Brothers company on Thursday from 1-7 p.m. at John Wood Community College. The job fair will help Snelling recruit up to 70 new positions.

Julie Bonansinga, owner of Snelling Staffing Services, says recruting job fairs such as the one on Thursday are critical to the growth of a community and new businesses entering the area.

"We built a custom job and work analysis and are now applying the recruiting process for Fitzpatrick which will identify the ideal employee who will be a good fit, be happy in the job and also do the job well," Bonansinga said.

Fitzpatrick Bros is building a brand new high speed packaging facility. The new plant is currently under construction and will open in late spring. Fitzpatrick makes and distribute cleaning material such as comet. Fitzpatrick has a long and successful history in various manufacturing and distribution areas

The job fair will look for applicants to fill positions such as Assistant Plant Manager, supervisors, maintenance mechanics, machine operators, a lab manager, quality personnel, warehouse people and forklift operators.
