A Quincy man will be sent to prison after he was found guilty for his role in an October shooting on the city's southwest side. It took an Adams County Circuit Court jury just over two hours Tuesday to find William D. Jenkins, 19, guilty of aggravated battery with a firearm, a Class X felony, and aggravated discharge of a firearm, a Class 1 felony. A Warsaw was man was arrested on Monday night after fleeing from Hancock County Sheriff's deputies. Deputies attempted to stop Kenneth Day, 35, of Warsaw, around 8:15 p.m. just east of Basco, according to a press release from the Hancock County Sheriff's Department. Two juveniles were arrested Sunday by Pike County Sheriff's deputies after a series of residential burglaries in the area.
