HANNIBAL, MO -- (WGEM NEWS) A Hannibal woman is now in a St. Louis hospital following a one vehicle accident early this morning.
Officers say the 36-year-old woman has severe injuries after being thrown from her truck about 4:15 this morning.
A witness tells police the woman was traveling at a high rate of speed when she ran off the road near Owens and Warren Barrett.
Initial investigations indicate the truck ran off the road, hit a storage building, and came to rest in the grass.
The woman was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital and later transferred by helicopter to St. Louis.
The investigation continues.
