QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -- The cause of a Wednesday morning house fire in Quincy remains under investigation.
According to our news gathering partners at the Quincy Herald Whig, after the fire, members of the Illinois State Police meth response team were observed taking items out of the house. They declined to comment whether items used to manufacture meth were found in the house.
The Whig reports, records show the house is owned by 45-year-old Jon Krause. Court records also show a Quincy bank recently foreclosed on the house.
The fire on Wednesday was quickly put out, and only minor damage was reported to the stairway leading from the second floor to the attic.
