Quincy teen arrested for hit and run at AMVETS building

URSA, Ill. (WGEM) -- A Quincy teen is behind bars for allegedly stealing a minivan and running over a piece of World War II history in Ursa.

Justin Koehler, 17, was arrested for theft over $300, no drivers license, and leaving the scene of an accident.

Around 2:30 Wednesday morning, Adams County deputies were called to the AMVETS building after a vehicle caused extensive damage to the property, including a piece of World War II artillery.

No one was at the scene of the accident, and it was later discovered the vehicle involved was stolen.

Deputies then responded to a tip and arrested Koehler in Mendon.
