FORT MADISON, Ia. (WGEM) -- A Fort Madison middle school student was taken to the hospital with minor injuries following a school bus accident Tuesday morning.
Fort Madison Transportation Director, Steve Carle says the 11-year-old female student was injured in the 3 car accident at 7 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The student complained of a sore neck.
The accident happened just before County Club Lane on US 61. The bus driver turned on the lights to stop at the fourth stop on it's route. A driver in a van did not notice the stopped bus and ran into a car pushing the car into the back of the bus.
Carle says the driver of the van was distracted because he was shaving. The driver of the car was also injured in the accident.
