MACOMB, Ill. (WGEM) -- Illinois Treasurer Dan Rutherford will join Western Illinois University tonight as they begin a five night mock presidential election.
According to WIU, this is the largest simulated presidential election in the nation.
Rutherford will speak at 6:15 p.m. in the University Union Grand Ballroom in support of Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney.
The event consists of State Caucuses and Primaries, a National Convention, and a simulated vote.
The mock election wraps up on November 7th.
WIU hosted this event in 2007, and the simulation had the same outcome as the actual election.
