KEOKUK, IA (WGEM) -- Tonight Southeast Iowa lawmakers are asking educators, parents and community members in all area school districts to share their ideas and concerns regarding the recent education reform proposal.
State Representative Jerry Kearns, State Senator Gene Fraise and Rep. Cindy Winckler of Davenport will hear the public's comments.
The Governor outlined his blueprint for education reform in October with the goal of making Iowa schools the best in the nation. Just last week, Governor Brandstad announced a one year delay in his plan to reform teacher pay.
The event will be held today at 4:00 at Keokuk Middle School. It is free and open to the public.
