QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM)-- Finding something to do this weekend could be as simple as keeping your eyes on the sky.
Bald Eagles are in the area fishing along the dams of the Mississippi River.
The Army Corp of Engineers will be at the Quincy Lock and Dam 21 this weekend to help spectators catch a glimpse of the majestic birds.
Tourism officials have planned a weekend full of events, it's it not just for bird watchers.
"We put together a package and for $99, you can have an overnight package at the Microtel where you can view eagles from your room and also a couple of dining places at the river front as well. And then we got a house on Main Street you can tour and free admission to our museums. So we've put together this FAB weekend, for food, architecture and bald eagles," said Holly Cain, Executive Director of the Quincy Area Convention and Visitor's Bureau.
The Army Corps will be at the park south of the Lock and Dam from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, and the event is free.
