Below is a list of the nominees for The Honda/Hyundai's Jason Deters & WGEM SportsCenter Prep Athlete of the Week. The fan vote counts as one vote in the total vote process ... with 10 sports broadcasters/writers submitting ballots as well. The winner will be announced Monday morning at 7:35 on WGEM SportsCenter, ESPN 1440 AM or WGEM.com/sports.

Feb. 6 - Feb. 12

Jalen Beebe (QND) -- In the 182-pound class, the Raider pulled out a 5-3 win on Saturday to claim a sectional title and advance to state.

Alex Fitch (QND) -- The junior had a solid week, leading the Raiders to two wins and riding a four-game win streak. He had 19 points and six boards against Liberty, while adding 13 points earlier in the week against Sacred Heart-Griffin.

Lauren Gronewold (Illini West) -- The second-seeded Chargers upset the top seed behind 17 points from Gronewold to claim a regional title on Thursday. In the semifinal earlier in the week, she went for 12 points in a win over Macomb.

Paxton Harmon (West Hancock) -- Three games equals three wins as the junior had nights of 20, 21, and 21 points.

Garrett Kestner (Central) -- The senior advanced to the state tourney with a 6-4 win over QND's Jeffrey Haley to claim a sectional title at the 195-pound class.

Jack Lucie (West Hancock) -- In the 113-pound class, Lucie waltzed to a 5-0 win to claim a sectional title.

Coltyn Pease (Pittsfield) -- In the 285 class, Pease pinned a wrestler from Kewanee to win a sectional title.

Jessica Redd (Marion County) -- In the title game of the Brashear Tournament, the senior had 36 points and 11 boards to help the Lady Mustangs claim their fifth straight title. She added 18 points in the semifinal.

Logan Rue (Louisiana) -- Two more CCC wins leaves the Bulldogs one of the few undefeated teams in the conference. On Tuesday, he went for 16 points in a big win at Palmyra, then added 13 points in a win on Friday versus Brookfield.
