QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM)-- Dogwood Festivities had a chance to continue Sunday, with some action on the gridiron.
The annual Dogwood Bowl took place at Flinn Stadium, giving participants a chance to play on the field's new turf.
More than 350 participated in this year's annual tournament, and organizers say the turnout was just what they hoped for.
"We spend months working on this so to have a turnout like this, it makes you feel good and you know you're efforts haven't been wasted," said Dogwood Bowl Co-Chair Mike Francis.
The tournament hosted seven different age groups ranging from nine years old all the way up to 26 and older.
