Cape Air flying more people in and out of Quincy


QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -- More people are flying in and out of Quincy Regional Airport.

Cape Air reported 874 passenger boardings in July, the second highest monthly count since 2009.

And ridership is up 10 percent from last year.

Airport director John Steinkamp says he is optimistic that they will reach 10,000 enplanements by year's end that will qualify the city for $1 million of federal grant money for improvement projects.
