Hannibal man leads police on pursuit with infant onboard

A Hannibal man is facing multiple charges after leading police on a short pursuit Wednesday night in Monroe City.

Monroe City police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on John W. Fogle, 28, at approximately 9:52 p.m. and after Fogle failed to stop, police say his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.

Passengers in Fogle's vehicle included Brooklyn P. Schaller, 20, William R. Ruby, 20, and infant Hannah L. Ruby, all of Monroe City. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says all three passengers were taken by ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Fogle has been charged in Monroe County with resisting a stop by fleeing and creating a substantial risk of serious injury or death, leaving the scene of an accident with injury and/or property damage and 1st degree endangering the welfare of child.
