Louisiana man arrested for helping transport escaped Pike County inmates

A Louisiana, Missouri man has been arrested in connection with the escape of three of five inmates from the Pike County Jail in Bowling Green.

Pike County Sheriff Stephen Korte says that Tordale D. Chatman, 30, of Louisiana, was arrested and charged with three counts of hindering prosecution for allegedly helping Jason Darnell, Jacob Darnell and Emanuel Chatman for providing transportation from Bowling Green to Jefferson City, Missouri.

The three inmates were found in Oklahoma, while Joseph A. Verive was taken back into custody Monday in Pike County, Missouri. Officers continue to search for William John Thomas Wilkerson Jr., of Florissant.
