Two Lewis County residents arrested on child endangerment charges

LEWIS COUNTY, Mo. (WGEM)-- A Lewis County man and woman are arrested on child endangerment charges.

According to authorities, Joseph Budig, 36 and Crystal Pratt, 38, of rural LaGrange allegedly forced a child to stand in the corner for extended periods of time and also hit the child's legs with a belt and a wooden rod.

Budig and Pratt were charged with endangering the welfare of a child, which is a felony.  Both subjects were released on bond.  The arrests stem from an investigation conducted in August.
