Great River Grape Escape offers wine enthusiasts samples from around Illinois

QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -

Wine enthusiasts came together Saturday for the Great River Grape Escape at Clat Adams Park in Quincy.

The festival included 12 Illinois wineries, live music and food pairings. Organizers say the festival was packed all day with at least 1,000 attendees.

One festival goer came all the way from St. Louis to attend the event, and says it was well with the trip.
