QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -

Video poker machines will soon be popping up in Adams County as a dozen bars are now awaiting approval from the Illinois Gaming Board.

According to Frank Heck, an owner of Heck Gaming Company, 11 bars that applied for a video gambling license are in Quincy.

Right now, the gaming board is doing site inspections of the bars and finger printing owners.

In about a month, the business owners should know whether they've been granted a license.
