Construction to begin Monday on downtown Quincy parking lot

QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -

A parking space in downtown Quincy is about to get a little more hard to find as construction begins on a city parking lot.

Starting Monday, City Parking Lot I near the southeast corner of 6th and Hampshire will be shut down.

The reconstruction project includes new pavement, curbs, ornamental street lights and landscaping.

Work is expected to be completed by Thanksgiving.
