Quincy, IL (WGEM)--Today cows, pigs, chickens, and tractors all gathered at Baldwin Elementary.
For the 27th year John Wood Community College ag students came to share agriculture knowledge with the 4-TH grade students.
One ag instructor from John Wood says agriculture is becoming a smaller percentage of their group so they feel an importance to get out and teach younger generations about the farm life.
"So it's good for us to come in and share some of the ideas of agriculture, production agriculture. Students get a better handle on where their food comes from and what's involved in growing and producing it," said Mike Tenhouse an Agriculture Instructor at John Wood Community College.
Tenhouse says not only do the kids enjoy ag day but so do the instructors from John Wood. Because they were able to see their own students teaching the kids at Baldwin.
