Memorial Hospital 5K run/walk Saturday in Carthage

CARTHAGE, Ill. (WGEM) -

The fifth annual Memorial Hospital 5K run/walk takes place Saturday in Carthage.

Over 75 people participated in last year's event and proceeds go towards the employee capital campaign. The campaign has already raised $412,689.01 towards its goal of $500,000.

"You don't have to be a runner or an athlete to be part of the 5K walk/run" said Memorial Hospital CEO, Ada Bair. "All are welcome to participate," says Bair.
