Old Fort Madison damaged in suspicious early morning fire


An early morning fire at the Old Fort Madison has been labeled as suspicious in nature.

Ft. Madison Fire Chief Joey Herren says crews responded to the historic structure on Riverview Drive around 4:30 a.m.

The fire appeared to have started between two soldiers' quarters.

The roofs and walls of the buildings were heavily damaged.
