Street resurfacing project to start this week

QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -

Work will begin by the end of the week for the 2012 Motor Fuel Tax Asphalt Maintenance Program, according to Quincy City Engineer Jeff Steinkamp.

The project is expected to take about six weeks, and the following streets will be resurfaced:

Spring Street from 6th Street to 8th Street.
Maple Street from 12th Street to 13th Street
North 16th Street from Chestnut Street to Spruce Street
North 17th Street from Lind Street to Chestnut Street
Biscayne Street from 36th Street to Hamilton Avenue
Ruby Court from Biscayne Street to cul-de-sac
Sherwood Drive from Biscayne Street to Columbus Road
Jersey Street from 18th Street to 20th Street
Monroe Street from 20th Street to 22nd Street
St. Charles Drive from Gerard Avenue to South 12th Street
Spring Street from 12th Street to 14th Street
South 12th Street from Payson Avenue to Ohio Street

R.L. Brink Construction is contracted for the projects.
