Hancock Co. man arrested while harvesting $136,000 worth of marijuana


WEST POINT, Ill. (WGEM) -- Hancock County authorities find 30 marijuana plants in a field, and then the suspected grower.

Robert Vonburg, 46, was arrested Wednesday night during a surveillance watch of a marijuana patch southwest of West Point.

The Hancock County Sheriff's Office says they caught Vonburg harvesting the plants, and a firearm was seized.

The estimated street value of the marijuana was $136,000.
