It was a big day for 4-H'ers in Adams County as they capped off another successful year with an achievement day event at the Kroc Center Sunday.
Over 200 awards were presented during the event, along with recognizing Cloverbud and 4-H Clubs, state award winning clubs, top 4-H Clubs and The Power of Youth Community Service award.
There are 18 4-H Community Clubs in the Adams County 4-H Program, with 320 members and 50 volunteer club leaders and is open to any youth ages 5-18.
Lynsey Whitaker has been a 4-H member for 10 years and says she has learned skills to last a lifetime. "4-H has been a great leadership opportunity for me. Throughout the past years I've been involved in many different community service activities. I've been a leader of my club. I've been vice-president, secretary, treasurer. I volunteer at nursing homes," says Whitaker.
