QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -

Halloween isn't quite here yet, but Dracula has already been making his rounds.

Quincy Community theatre teamed up with the American Red cross today to host a blood drive that would promote their upcoming play: Dracula: A Radio Play.

Brave donors were escorted through the spooky corridors of the theatre to give blood.

Organizers say the blood drive is a win-win for the community.

"We thought you know what a perfect way to give back to the community, have a blood drive, and so this is really important to us so we can help people out, not just on a local level but on a national level," said Kelsey Pigg, the blood drive's coordinator and QCT's production manager.

In return for their blood participants received $5 off a ticket to the play.

Dracula opens October 12th at the Quincy Community Theatre inside the Oakley Lindsay Center.
