Time is running out to register to vote in Adams County

Time is quickly running out to register to vote in Adams County.

Saturday voting registration closed at noon, and it was officially the last weekend day to register in the county.

The last day to register is Tuesday, October 9. However, Monday, October 8 is Columbus Day so the Adams County Clerk's Office will be closed.

If you've registered last year, or year's before, you do not have to register again. You only have to register if you've changed your address, or you just moved into the county, if you've changed your name, or if you are going to turn 18 on or before the election day.

If you cannot make it by Tuesday, Volm says you can still register in person during what's called a "Grace Period." That grace period runs from October 10 through November 3. However, individuals must vote at the time of registration.
