Boil Order in Quincy

Posted:
QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -

There's a boil order tonight in the City of Quincy.

According to the director of utilities, residents living on 30th Street between Lindell and Shirlen Drive need to boil their water until Monday.

Just before one o'clock Saturday afternoon, the utilities department was called to a water main break on 30th and Lindell.

Service was interrupted for a few hours, but now should be restored.

Officials say water should be boiled for at least three minutes prior to use.
