The best marching bands from across the Tri-States are preparing for a showdown in Quincy next weekend.
The 17th annual Octoberfest Marching Band Parade & Field Competition will be held on Saturday, Oct. 20.
More than 20 high school bands will march down Maine Street in the afternoon and then take to the field at Flinn Stadium later that night.
And it's more than just a concert.
"Octoberfest is one of our primary fundraisers for our music program so it's vital that they come out and support us," said QHS Band Director Matt Gabriel.
Admission to the field competition is $6 for adults, $4 for students. That gets started at 5:15 Saturday night.
