Leon Bailey Park will soon be getting new equipment.
Wednesday night, the board voted to approve of plans voted on by the community.
Last month survey's were handed out for the community to vote on two potential plans for the park.
The first would have several different play pieces around the park. The second would be a more centralized playground.
More than half of the surveys are leaning towards one specific option.
"I believe we got 61 total surveys, 37 of them supported this type of separate stand alone playground system, only 13 supported the other option which was the stand alone, and we had about 11 surveys that said they didn't care. So, it indicated pretty strong support," said Ed Seger, Executive Director for the Quincy Park District.
Seger says he believes this type of playground will cater to children of all ages.
Officials say they will go back out into the community hopefully by winter or early spring to get their opinion once again on what kind of equipment they'd like to see on the playground.
