QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -
The Knights of Columbus hosted a volunteer effort to benefit the Blessing Cancer Center Sunday afternoon.
Volunteers were up at 3 this morning making 70 gallons of Mulligan soup. The soup was free, but people donated their money to the cause.
This is the first time since 2009 an event like this took place.
The volunteer who organized this, John Cunningham, said he hopes to make $3,000-$4,000 with the event. The last time they held an event like this was in 2009, where volunteers were able to raise $1,700.
