Prudential Financial and the United Way teamed up Friday to help Transitions of Western Illinois.
As part of their United Way campaign, Prudential Financial annually participates in their "Global Volunteer Day" as a way to give back to Adams County. This year Prudential employees, Prudential clients, United Way volunteers, and guys from the Adams County Jail all helped paint seven bedrooms in one of the group homes.
By doing this Prudential was able to give $1,000 to the United Way.
"We get a little bit of publicity from doing the work I think. And also, it's a great project to get their home painted and give these folks some nice clean rooms," said Patrick K. Humphrey, the project leader.
This project assisted Transitions in providing quality services to individuals on their way to independence.
