You hear meteorologists talk about severe weather during the spring and summer, when we have the greatest chance to see severe storms.
But, severe weather can strike at any time.
Back on December 27, 2008, two separate tornadoes hit Hannibal and Liberty. The storm damaged roofs, brought down trees and powerlines.
So even through it's October, we need to go through a check list just in case severe weather hits this weekend.
Be sure to check the batteries in your weather radios and flash flights.
Go over your family safety plan, including where to go in your home in case severe weather strikes.
