Organizers of the Community Safety Awareness Day made a significant contribution to the Great River Honor Flight as part of the festivities Saturday.
Dan Trower presented a $250 donation check to the organization.
The final Great River Honor Flight of the year is on October 25th.
This will be the 6th flight of the year and 16th overall.
Trower said the donation is a thank you to those who have served our country.
"Anytime you got your veterans out there. There the reason we are standing here today safely and that is just a great honor to be able to honor them and let them see the rewards that they have done for this country as well as for all of us," said Dan Trower.
So far, 455 local World War II and Korean veterans have made the trip.
