ST. LOUIS, Mo. (WGEM) -- Playoff games at Busch Stadium are nothing new for the Cardinals and many of their fans, but Wednesday's outing was a special first for a Carthage native.

For Matt Snyder and his two grandfathers, it meant a great day of playoff baseball in St. Louis, which was a playoff first for the grandfathers, while Snyder considers himself a seasoned playoff veteran.

"I've been to Busch Stadium so many times now, but to bring family and experience it that was is a lot better," Snyder told WGEM Sports.

"The post season atmosphere is so much more exciting."

Matt's grandfather Jerry says this is something that he never thought he would get to experience.

"It's thrilling," he expressed.

"We're both getting up to the point where we don't know how many more times we're going to be able to do things like this, so it's very nice."

Even though Matt has been to several meaningful games before, Wednesday will sit at the top of the list.

"Neither one of them have ever been to a post season game before, so to be able to bring them is just awesome," said Snyder.

"My grandpa is the reason I am a Cardinals fan, so it's nice to be able to bring him here so I can experience it with him."
