An interactive history encyclopedia is set up in Nauvoo for the next several weeks.
The "Journey Stories" traveling exhibit of the Smithsonian Institute has arrived in town.
The interactive display features the history of transportation in the United States, as well as telling the stories of immigrants traveling to the country, and making a new life.
Nauvoo is one of six Illinois communities to receive the exhibit, and city officials say - they've partnered it with a local exhibit.
"A lot of what came of having a national exhibit here was curating this local exhibit, I really think that facilitated quite a bit of understanding between groups that still operate in Nauvoo," said Executive Director of Tourism Kim Orth.
The national exhibit will be in Nauvoo until November 10th, and the local exhibit will probably stay a little while longer.
