New London man killed in one vehicle accident on Highway 61

NEW LONDON, Mo. (WGEM) -

A New London man was killed in a one vehicle accident early Thursday morning on Highway 61.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident happened in Pike County near the intersection with Route U.

Andrew Leake, 42, reportedly ran off the road and struck a culvert.

Authorities say Leake was not wearing his seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle.
