Quincy, IL (WGEM)-- Construction is well underway on the third addition to the Blessing Health Center complex near 9th and Broadway in Quincy.
Vice president of engineering and facility development Jerry Jackson says the 10 million dollar facility will house new family medicine and specialist providers and mid-level practitioners.
The four level building will also have a diabetes center, an out patient service area including radiology lab, and new orthopedic program.
"In the increase in orthopedic surgeons in the community it was important that we had adequate space to accommodate this new service line. So that's bringing new benefits not only to the community but to the region," said Jerry Jackson, the Vice President of engineering and facility development.
Jackson says this new addition will improve patient access. It is scheduled to open in late Spring or early Summer.
