A traffic accident in West Quincy caused one SUV to completely overturn in the roadway.
It happened just after 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a car pulled out of the Ayerco parking lot without yielding to the SUV who was heading towards the bridge into Illinois.
The SUV then swerved to avoid hitting the other vehicle - and that's when troopers say the driver got into trouble.
"Basically when he swerved, he over-corrected, because it was a close hazard for him, when he over-corrected he re-over corrected and that's when it caused it to trip him and turned over," said Missouri State Highway Patrol Officer, Greg Leftwich.
The driver who pulled out in front was cited for failure to yield.
