Kohl's donates to Safe Kids Adams County

"Safe Kids Adams County got a hefty donation from an area store this afternoon.

Kohl's donated over $23,000 to the organization.

The money will go towards bike helmets, car seats, and publicity for their old car seat "round-up".

Jan Hummel, with Safe Kids, says this money helps make many of their programs a reality.

"Our mission as Safe Kids Adams County is to provide education, and that's our foremost thing - to provide education - but when we have these wonderful donations like we get from Kohl's, then we are able to provide these safety items to help truly protect our most vulnerable population - our children," said Hummel.

Kohl's has donated to safe kids Adams county since 2006.
