QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -

Quincy, IL (WGEM)-- The Good Samaritan Home in Quincy held their annual model railroad open house this afternoon.

Families and children gathered all around train tracks to watch the model trains make their way through trees, tunnels, and over bridges.

One club member says by setting up the trains for the public to see they hope to draw interest, especially with the children.

"And as Christmas is coming they can get their kids excited about it and go out and start to buy those starter train sets and make them into lifetime model rain roaders," said Hank Murrary, a club member.

If you are interested in joining the club, they have meetings on the first Thursday of every month at 7:30PM at the Good Samaritan.
