Quincy man arrested for theft

A Quincy man was arrested overnight Monday night for allegedly trying to siphon gas from a local trucking company.

19-year-old Kaleb Purcell faces theft and trespassing charges.

Quincy police say they were called to Allied Truck storage facility on Wisman Lane on the report of a suspicious male.

Officers say when they arrived they saw someone run toward the nearby woods and found evidence of gas being siphoned from some of the trucks.

Purcell was arrested a short time later in the Drakewood subdivision.

He was released on bond pending a December 20th court date.
