IL State Treasurer visits Quincy ahead of Election Day

Get out and vote, and get others to do the same: that's the message Illinois State Treasurer Dan Rutherford brought to Quincy on Monday.

Joined by Republican Senate Minority Leader Christine Radogno and local Republican leaders at the Quincy Regional Airport Monday, Rutherford spent the final day before the elections rallying his party's troops to cast their votes tomorrow, as well as asking them to get others to do the same.  Rutherford says just a few votes could make a difference.

"As it's been noted, some of our Senate races have only been won by 80, 82, 89 votes, and out of tens of thousands cast, that's pretty close.  So we need to go out and work it all the way through, help support our candidates."

Rutherford spoke about the presidential election as well. He serves as the Illinois Chairman of the Romney for President campaign.
