QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -

One Quincy family is doing their part to help Hurricane Sandy Victims.

Jamie Fierge and his son are taking a trailer of supplies and personal hygiene items to New York next week.

Fierge says after seeing pictures of the devastation, he knew he had to help, and there are a few items in particular that are especially needed.

"Diapers, hand wipes, food on the go, is what she told me, toilet paper, female things, tooth brushes, toothpaste, coats, and hats," Fierge said.

They will be leaving on Thursday, November 15 and are still looking for donations. Items can be dropped off at Two Rivers Regional Council in Quincy, until Wednesday November 14.
