QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -- Day one of the WGEM Fall Harvest Blitz was a big success.
We teamed up with the Quincy Salvation Army Thursday morning and over the noon hour, to help collect non-perishable food items for those in need. Several people generously stopped at the corner of 5th and Hampshire to drop off boxes and bags that will go directly to the Quincy Salvation Army food pantry.
Thursday's total was 833 items.
The blitz continues Friday from 6:30 to 9am and then again from noon to one. You can also drop off donations at any County Market store in the tri-states through November 19th .
